Mini MAC Haul - January 2010

Well on to my first documented haul ...

I first heard about MAC's Love Lace Collection a couple of months ago and once I saw the photos and swatches on various blogs etc I knew what I wanted and that the new collection would be released in the UK some time in January ... well it was ... last week! I was becoming a bit obsessed as I kept checking MAC online every day and then I stumbled on it last week and got stupidly excited - it was like Christmas all over again. As I already knew what I wanted placed my order for ...

MAC Feline Kohl Pencil (Black Pencil Eyeliner) - soft, smooth and very black
MAC Light Affair Nail Polish (Nude/Beigee/Taupe/Grey coloured) I love, love, love!
MAC Hypnotized Eye Shadow - (Brown/Shimmer/Taupe/hint of purple) So lovely and reminds me a little of my daily favourite Satin Taupe!

DHL delivered my parcel after much delay (due to the snowy conditions - adverse weather!) ... was it worth the wait??? ...

MAC Feline Kohl Pencil (£12.00)- I have been after this pencil ever since acquiring Smolder Kohl Pencil - just from reading reviews etc. After I first tried Smolder Kohl Pencil I was absolutely amazed at it's high pigmentation and the fact that it would stay on my waterline ... forver! I had heard great reviews about Feline also and so naturally I wanted to buy Feline! Bringing my total MAC Kohl Pencils to 2 now! On reviewing the Feline Pencil it looks identical to Smolder and upon testing I discovered it to be very similar to Smolder also, very rich pigmentation - a real true rich black, it does stay in my waterline although I am not sure yet whether it lasts longer on me than Smolder. It stays in place well on my lower lash line also. Overall I am very pleased with Feline and along with Smolder these are both two black eyeliners that are the best I have ever used by a long shot!

MAC Light Affair Nail Polish (£8.00)- From the Love Lace Collection this was by far my MOST WANTED and I just had to have it. It is such a lovely neutral shade and I have never seen one quite like it! The colour is very strange and I could describe it in 4 colours - Beige, Nude, Taupe, Grey (all in one!). I absolutely could not wait to try this out and I can confirm that it lived up to my expectations and some more! I am wearing it now! I put 3 coats of the polish on although I do believe 2 may have been enough but I just thought 3 coats would look better. The container looked really small to me but it does contain 10ml and so no smaller than an average polish. Overall I am super impressed with this nail varnish and have already got my cousin on the case to buy another! As it is a limited edition shade I am going to get another whilst I still can! I have a feeling this nail polish is going to be used and abused! Total MAC Nail Varnishes = 1 (so far)!

MAC Hypnotized Eye Shadow (£11.00) - Limited Edition. This Shade is stunning, it isn't as dark as what I was hoping when swatched but nevertheless a truly gorgeous eye shadow. I use Satin Taupe by MAC on a daily basis as my usual eye shadow and Hypnotized to me looks very similar - it looks quite a bit browner with a hint of purple and that is the only difference to me. I wore this eye shadow today and even on I didn't feel like I looked much different than if I had Satin Taupe on, I think the beauty of Hypnotized is if you were to pack it on the colour would build up more intense and so I will probably save this one for an evening look. This is a beautiful eye shadow and I am very pleased that this is a new addition to my collection ... total MAC eye shadows = 5!

Well ... what a long blog/review! Hope you enjoy and any questions please ask and leave any comments! Thanks Zoe

Introduction - January 2010

Hello and welcome to my very first blog!!!

Firstly, please allow me to introduce myself ... my name is Zoe and I am a 24 (nearly 25) year old Secretary from Warwickshire. Everything about my blog is an opinion of my own and not influenced by anyone or any company. I have a huge passion for cosmetics and fashion and always have done and no doubt always will do. I have been told too many times by so many people that I have a "shopping problem" and so I thought where best to document my shopping addiction than here and so here I am. I have spent a few months reading through other people's blogs and watching youtube videos etc which have given me a lot of inspirarion and an insight into the more upmarket world of cosmetics like MAC, Lancome etc and since then I have built up my own collection and become slightly obsessed with the new collections etc! Shopping for clothes and buying cosmetics is my ultimate luxury indulgence (forget chocolate!) Unfortunately this is an expensive addiction so the more time I spend writing on here then perhaps the less time I will spend browsing new makeup etc! Hmmm ... this will be interesting! Since it took me until now to practically discover the wonders of MAC and so on I thought I would share my opinions and views to others that are thinking of buying new products etc. I am usually shopping every weekend and internet shopping most week nights for something or other (not to mention my great bargain hunting skills) and so am hoping to include my latest "star buys/hauls" etc in this blog!

Please follow my blog and you will be able to check out my latest bargains/craze/obsession/shopping hauls/reviews! Please feel free to leave comments etc.

Thank you for visiting my blog, I hope you enjoy! PS. Just to let you know of a few upcoming blogs I am going to add - Mini MAC Haul, River Island Sale Haul, Mini Models Own Nail Polish Haul. I am hoping to include pics of everything too. How exciting!
